Brief Description: Finished Painting the Inside of Doors
This entry covers 5/5 thru 5/10. We spent the last 6 days at a friends Paint shop finishing the inside of the doors. We used PPG DP48LF primer followed by DDC color to match the Aerosport interior panels in a light tan. Geoff Combs @ Aerosport, helped me with a technique to add texturing to the finished surfaces. The pressure at the input to the LVHP gun was reduced to around 4 PSI to spray the final coat resulting in a wet splatter on the surface. A flattener was used to obtain an eggshell finish followed by application of the "splatter layer". All in all it turned out very well.
