I completed the re-installation of the tail and adjustment of the electric trim. I checked the balance on the rudder and the elevators and they were well within the limits called out in Vans final installation document. The trim was adjusted using Tim Olson's procedure. All hardware was properly torqued. The elevator pushpull tube was adjusted and final torqued. The empannage intersection fairing will be installed after the FAA inspection. The following actual measurments were made. Elevator travel Up=28 Down=20 degrees Rudder travel left and right = 35 degrees Elevator trim tab right up=25 down=35 Elevator trim tab left up = 0 down = 35
Elevator balance left =11.5 in/lbs Elevator balance right = 10.5 in/lbs Rudder balance = 12 in/lbs
