Install the reinforcement plates and platenuts on the spar.
Rivet the R-904 rib and associated parts.
-> Being realy careful I was able to solid rivet all the rivets on the rudder horn. -> Just a note about the extra holes in the rudder horn - not for the RV-7. A copy of the Vans Airforce Thread is contained here.
Rivet the R-912 counterbalance rib to the R-902 spar. Then rivet the R-913 counterbalance skin to the counterbalance rib, but not the spar. Install the E-614-020 counterweight (see exploded view on DWG 7).
-> I checked the static friction for the nylon locknut to be between 6 and 8 in.lb. Therefore I set the torque tension for the nut fastening to be 24 in.lb + 6 in.lb = 30 in.lb.
Cleco both skins to the spar.
