Brief Description: HS-0001 and HS-00005 Technical Question

Step undertaking:
Reinstall HS-00005. Align the centerline line drawn on the forward flange to the previously drilled holes in the spar assembly and HS-00006 rib. Clamp the rib in place, making sure it fits tightly against HS-00001. Next, cleco the aft flange of the HS-00005 rib to the aft spar. Finally clamp the top and bottom flanges to the HS-601PP skin. Finally, Match-drill the holes in the forward flange of the HS-00005 rib.
Building the horizontal stabiliser – forward spar. I attach photo’s of the edge distance of the HS-00005 and the HS-00001. I think the HS-00005 needs to be replaced which will therefore mean I will need to replace all other parts HS-00005, HS-710, HS-714 and the spars.
It is clear to me what I need to do next time for the HS-00005, but specifically regarding the HS-0001, the edge distance seems very close regardless of what I would try differently.

Yes the Edge Distances are fairly critical on these parts so initial line-ups must be precise. Clamp all of the parts tightly at all times. The inboard ribs HS-00004 HS-00005 can float a bit in/outboards so that their attach holes align correctly with enough ED. The ED will be very close on the HS-00001 and some of the holes will be less that 2 hole diameters. That is OK for this part.
