Today, I fabricated a different safety latch. The original design could rotate and inadvertanly lock you out of your airplane. This one is spring loaded and recessed such that you have to pull down to rotate. It will not get accidently rotated with no one in the airplane. I bolted down the plexiglass to the frame. It is now ready to be bonded and faired in with fiberglass. I also riveted the side rail skins.
I drilled and temporarily installed the glare shield trim.
