I cut the left panel with a fly-cutter and a jigsaw for the big square hole. Dressed up all the edges with a jeweler's file and emory cloth. I am happy with the results. The two open 2 1/4" holes will get a trutrak auto pilot and a trutrak ADI.
A Tour: The LEDs on the left are for the Gretz heated Pitot tube. True airspeed AFS-3500EE Altimeter Garmin CDI (will be driven by a Garmin 430W)
Switches: Top left Plasma 3-1, Plasma 3-2 (dreaming at this point) Start, Alternate power source for right Plasma (If installed)
Bottom, left to right Master Fuel pump Avionics Pitot heat
Strobe lights Nav lights Landing light 1 Landing light 2
Panel light and dimmer ( two led map lights pointed at the panel) Instrument lights and dimmer (Airspeed, altimeter, CDI, and avionics stack)
EFIS 1 EFIS 2 (more dreaming) Auto Pilot Alternate source of avionics power
My down the road plans are to have a B/U alternator to feed avionics and Electronic ignition (way down the road, I still need an engine). I think I will start with a small B/U battery for the EI. The EFIS already has a B/U battery.
