Brief Description:  Filled tanks with water to look for leaks

I set the tanks between two small benchs in my work shop, placed caps on all the ports and filled them with water to make sure they didn't have any major leaks that I could address before I put on the back baffle.

The tanks checked out fine with two exceptions. The Right tanks overflow is clogged, this will need to be fixed before the baffle is rivetted. Both tanks have been fitted with a bung on the outboard for a future expansion tank, this needs to be sealed shut, the brass plug is not enough by itself.

Not that I plan to do this again but there were a few things that would have been good to know before I tried this.

1. Make sure the gas caps are tight fitting, I didn't check this before filling and they both started leaking, all it took was a quick turn of the adjustment and all was well.

2. in this orientation they fill/drain very slowly, use the middle of the tank as your syphon point.
