Brief Description:  Riveting right tank inner ribs

Dick Socash came over today and helped me rivet the inner ribs of the fuel tanks. I had placed the tank bottom side up on a couple of books. I had wrapped the books in saran rap and shop towels, the saran wrap to keep the sealant off of them and the shop towel to protect the work from scuffing. The book were a little more than two inches tall and held the work high enough that the clecos didn't come in contact with the bench during riveting. I also strapped the work down to minimize its movement.

After mixing the sealant and placing it in a syringe we riveted all the bottom of the wing, then laid it flat on the work bench. While I mixed the second batch of sealant Dick capped the shop heads of the rivets with the remainders of the first batch.

We then continued with the riveting and set all the rivets on the top of the wing. Once that was done I turned over the piece and capped all the shop heads for the top of the tank.

Here is a time lapse, 3 hours of work in about a minute and a half https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NkL_0SknBfs
