Brief Description:  Pitot Probe wiring

I haven't had much time lately, lot of flux, but it's on an upswing!

I needed to finalize my wiring of the heat for the pitot/AOA probe. The Garmin pitot probe has two wires each with a black band of heat shrink and two without. I needed to reduce the two wires to 1 proper sized wire for the molex connector.

I opted for the lash splice

I twisted tight the wires(they had frayed durrin fitting the tube) on the probe. Cut a section of black and red wire removed the proper amount of insulation and tinned all of the wires. I then placedthe two probe wires next to each other and gave them one wrap with the lash. This made it so the two wires stayed together and also held the lash wire as well. I slipped on a piece of heat shrink then lashed the third wire in, choosing black for the wires with the black heat shrink, and red for the others. The joint was then soldered together. I pulled on the wires with a lot of force and the joint held firm, so I shurnk the heat shrink.

Next I cut and trimmed the ends of the black and red wire for the molex pins, cimped the pins(again giving a good tug) and set them in the connector.
