Brief Description: Counter Sinking of top 1/2 of the right spar.
As the ribs are now off of the spars it is time to machine counter sink them. I started with the right spar securing it to the work bench using clamps to make it more stable. I then got out some scrap, tested and set the counter sink. I had read that using a backing plate is helpfull to keep the holes from getting wallowed out. I took an aluminum yard stick, clamped it to the spar and match drilled holes in it to guide the counter sink bit. I then proceeded to counter sink. It went well until I tried to pick up the yard stick and move it. The hole spacing is not the same and that made the process more time consuming than I had planned for. I only got the top 1/2 of the spar done, the bottom will be tomorrows project.
