Brief Description: Fisnish fit work for electric trim
Today I finished the work on the electric trim. I started by cutting down the all thread down to size, the length wasn't very clearly defined in the instructions. As usual the answer I was looking for was on VAF, after reading through a couple of threads the length I used was 3 5/8's. After cutting the all thread I carefully cleaned the cut end with a scotch-bright wheel. I then threaded on the jam nuts and the clevises. I then started fitting it to the elevator. The first thing I noticed was some interference between the all thread and the elevator skin. After more looking on VAF I placed a slight bend in the rod and removed a small amount of material from the elevator to make sure nothing comes in contact that shouldn't. It will still need to be wired and have some final tweaking, but for now this was the last outstanding item on the tail kit.
