Brief Description:  VS assembled and ready to drill/ Tech inspection

I decided that since I had the heat on in the garage for the inspection of the HS it would be a good time to put in some more work on the VS. I broke the edge and fluted the ribs, the spar components still need to be done. Next I assembled the ribs to the spar and drilled all the holes to #30. I then clecoed the skin on, it went together with no issues, much easier than the HS skins.

I had my first EAA tech inspection today. It went well, I pointed out the areas that I had trouble with and that gave me concern. This was two things, first and foremost the rivets the join the nose rib to the foreward spar. He said it wasn't of any structural or safety concern. This made me very happy as I had already priced out the new HS pieces I would need(Hope for the best, plan for the worst). The second was the one hole on the trailing edge of the HS where my drill had jumped. He said that wasn't an issue. I explained that I planned to use super fill as suggested by the vans forum, he said that he would suggest a high strength epoxy with some milled glass in it.
