Brief Description: reworked front spar rivets and started right side
After looking at the rivets on the forward spar and then checking them with the rivet gauage I decided that some of them needed a few more hits, and one was bent over. Unfortunatly this really messed them up and I ended up having to drill them out and replace them once the skin was on. The shop head looks good, but I ended up needing to go with a longer rivet 4-7 instead of 4-6 to get enough metal to fill the hole created from drilling out the rivet.
Over all I am ok with the result, the aperrance is UGLY, there are some smileys on the spar, they look worse in the picture than they are. One is just a ding in the primer, the other is repeated dings in the primer and impacts to the metal. I will see what my tech inspector has to say in a few weeks.
I also went through every rivet on the left side skin and made sure they were all proper according to teh rviet gauage. There were a half dozen that needed another hit, that work did not generate any new problems.
