My first attemp at the 407 assembly for the flaps was safe but ugly, then when I drilled the holes that attatch the large angle to the spar I encountered an edge distance issue. So it was time to start over.
I studied the drawings very closely and noticed a few items that I hadn't previously noticed, one called out, which is the shape of the angle against the spar. I used the old pieces as rough templates and remade the parts. The other item I noticed is that the small angle bracket has to be bent in(closed) to match the angle of the spar to rib.
