Brief Description: EAA tech inspection before final seal
I had an EAA tech inspector come over and look at my fuel tanks before I close them up. There were no safety issues with the construction, all parts sealed and accounted for.
He did suggest that I add some more proseal to the rib to skin joints, in addition he suggested cutting an access panel in the baffle for each bay that way I can reach my hand in and slather on the sealant, then close the access panels with a slightly larger AL disc and sealed pop rivets similar to those used to rivet the Z brackets and baffle to the end of the ribs.
I am considering these suggestions while I wait for a day warm enough to get out the sealant(currently way to cold).
