Brief Description:  Riveting the rudder skin

I riveted the rudder skin onto the skeleton today. It was the first time I didn't have to drill any rivets out of a component. The worst part was putting the proseal on the stiffeners at the trailing edge. Lisa held open the skins and using my finger(with gloves) I put a dab on each set of stiffeners.

I was able to put solid rivets in every hole except for the last one on each side of the bottom of the rudder, I am not convinced these are achieveable with solid rivets. I used my longeron yolk to get inside the rudder horn, other than that is was all pretty straight forward. I will order some cherry max pop rivets for the last two rivet holes.

I took some timelapse of me working on the rudder, I will have to figure out where to put that video and link to it.

FYI an SOS pad does wonders taking proseal off your hands should your nitrile gloves tear open.
