I had a lot of trouble with this on the other elevator and I ended up order all new parts for that side. Not wanting to repeat the mistakes I was extra careful with the left elevator counter weight.
It took a lot of tugging, pulling, etc to get the clecos into the holes of the E-713 to E-703/704's.
Once I had the counter weight secured in E-703,E-704,E-713 I used a punch to mark where the holes should be drilled in the lead. I then removed the lead, secured it to the drill press and using a #30 with a little Beolube(great stuff!!!) I drilled the holes. I then put it back into the E-703,E-704,E-713 assembly, used a longer #30 and more Beolube to drill through the E-703,E-704, and E-713. I then removed the lead and repeated to whole process but this time with the #12 for the final size.
