Brief Description:  Priming

I primed all the available parts. This included all the VS components, the rudder skin and stiffeners, as well as the elevator skins and stiffeners. To do this I assembled a rectangle of 3/4 inch PVC and drilled holes every few inches, then threaded some stiff wire into each hole. These wires were used to hang the stiffeners, ribs, and spars for priming. The skins where laid on their sides on cardboard and rotated several times for an even application. I had some unknown issue with the configuration of the spray gun. The coverage is good but it has an orange peal texture. It may have been the temperature, but I made sure all the metal was well in the 70's and the ambient air temperature was holding at 70 just before I shut off the heat to prevent it from becoming a combustion source. I think the needle in the spray gun may have been dirty from the last use or I may have water in my air tank/lines. It is internal and won't be seen again after I rivet, appearances in that location aren't too much of a problem. It does continue to cement my thought that I should have someone else paint the exterior
