Justin and Tiffany helped me get the wood spar out and set the fuse on a large oak table. This was the first time removing the wood spar to date and what a pain! There were six nutplates which were installed to hold the three removable floor ribs. Once we got past those it was smooth sailing. I will cut some channels into the wood before replacing it.
We had to remove it to mount the control column brackets for the stick controls. Once they are riveted in place with some flush rivets I will replace the wood spar and set it back on the floor.
