The replacement bar arrived yestoday, so I got back onto the tie-downs. I cut the replacement spacers, using the spars as a guide. I edged, bebured them, I then lined the spacer, using bolts to go through them and the tie-down bracket to line up the platenuts for the aileron linkage. I then drilled the rivet holes to hold the platenuts in position. Disassembling the parts, I countersunk the spacers for the rivets and then primed the spacers. I riveted the spacers to the tie-down brackets and then loosely bolted the tie-down/spacer assembly to the spars. next to install the aileron linkage on the rear of the spars and torque everything up.
Tie down loosely bolted to the spar, note the 'torque me' warning.
