Brief Description:  Forward floor/forward baggage area.

Today, I riveted the platenuts to the mid cabin braces. I radiused the eight washers used for the upper braces and primed them. I clecoed the upper braces onto the LG boxes and riveted them together I then put the AN3-4/5 bolts through the upper braces/LG boxes. I fitted the radiused washers and torqed them down to 25 ins lbs. I then clecoed the mid cabin braces to the LG boxes and riveted them. The callout for the bolts is AN3-6a bolts, but when I tried to use these I found the bolts too long, the bolts would still turn after torquing down, so I ended up placing and extra washer on each to make sure the bolts go down tight.

I then dug out the parts for the forward fuselage sub structure.

I fluted the 866b-1 anf 866A-1 forward baggage bulkheads, I then edged each piece. I seperated the five striffeners, cut the taper on the 870D-1's I then clecoed them to the forward baggage floor and drilled the common rivet holes to #40. I final drilled the nutplate rivet attachement holes to full size on the inborad and outbord stiffeners, as well as the lower edge of the lower forward baggage bulkhead.

I clecoed the 866D mounting plate to the lower forward baggage bulkhead and drilled the three common rivet holes to #30.

I finally cleoced the upper and lower foward baggage bulkheads to the forward upper brace and I called a halt there. I'll continue tomorrow.
