Brief Description:  Fuel tanks

Well, after fabricating all 10 trapdoors, I received an e-mail from a friend building in Dallas, who had had an e-mail from Vans re the trapdoors, as it's not exactly clear on what to do with them. I assumed that as the 10 internal ribs had holes in the lower corner that I'd need 10 trapdoors.
Apparently not, Vans advised my friend, who is using a floppy tube in one tank, to just block the centre hole on the second rib and fit a trapdoor to it, and not worry abot the rest of the ribs. So I thought that what's good for a floppy tube is good for a fixed pickup too.

So that's what I ended up doing. I only riveted the trapdoors to the second ribs, as well as blocking the centre holes on both.

I cut and edged the inner tank strengtheners, the T-410's, and marked the angle for the front tank attach brackets.
