I started riveting the right leading edge to the front spar. What a nightmare!!!

I found the only way to use a rivet gun was to rivet 'backwards', i.e. the manufactured head on the spar, and the machined head on the rib, this also proved difficult to get my hand inside the leading edge thorugh the rib with the bucking bar. I did one rib and decided that there had to be a better way. I also wasn't confident that the rivets were compressing correctly. So I went onto the VAF website and found many had, under the advisement from Vans, used LP4 pull rivets or Cherrymax rivets. So that's what I'm going to do. I'm pretty close to finishing off the tanks and need the sealant, I'll order the LP rivets at the same time. In the mean time I'll get back onto the tanks and the top and bottom skins.
