I primed the frame parts. and riveted the various parts together, I initially primed only he contact surfaces of the brackets, plate nuts etc, with the idea of priming the whole again once together, but I don't think I'll do it that way again.
I went as far as I could without the R 710 bracket, finished the prime coat, repairing any damage caused whilst riveting.
