Brief Description: Bending the elevator and rudder skins
This was one of the jobs I was nervous about, bending the tail control surface skins, but it went well, I thought. My brake is 1.5" x 16" x 8'. and attached to my bench by 8 hinges. I initially put the skins up to the hinge line and gently let the weight of the brake come down on the skin, then pushing gently with my hands, then finishing with 'G' clamps along the fold line. They came out rather well.
I don't have a photo of the folding in action.
But I did initially cleco the rudder frame together, and this can be seen resting on the folded brake that I put together.
