To level paint and make shiny, here's the process I used. 1500 wet sand by hand. Then, wet sand using DA and a 3000 grit Trizact saft pad, then 3M Stage 1 rubbing compound followed by 3M Stage 2 polishing compound. Very shiny.
For this work session, I wet sanded the trim tabs and the left flap. Since these pieces will not be installed for a while, I'm not going to cut and polish until just before final installation. However, I did want to see how shiny they were going to be, so I did use the 3M rubbing and pollishing compunds on the top of the left flap. Looks awesone.
