Brief Description:  Steps and a fabricated bracket

The steps were a fun and easy evening. I could have done them sooner or later, but I had to wait for firewall sealant; the idea is to make the firewall fire proof.

In Image 1 you are looking face to face with the RV-12 fuselage minus the fire wall. You can see the steps on each side of the fuselage, especially in Image 2. The "step is where you put one of your feet to hoist yourself to the wing. On the wing will be a rectagular area marked by what looks like black sandpaper. You stand with both feet on the rectangle and let yourself into the cabin floor, and sit down. Unlike airplanes you mave have flown or ridden in before, the RV-12 boards from the front of the wing. It's not as easy as stepping into a Cessna with wings overhead and mostly out of the way, but it is easier than most low wing planes.

I got to use my torque wrench on the bolts. The torque wrench tells you when you are tight enough, and before you're too tight. It's important to get it just right in aircraft!

I finished making the bracket that goes next to the tunnel wall. This bracket (F-1201L) Helps sturdy the gascolater. The gascolater is a reliable, inexpensive thing that filters out sentiment and water on the way to the engine. The bracket is now riveted in place.

Another bracket was installed on the floor of the tunnel. It holds the "flo-scan". I assume the flo-scabmonitors the flow of fuel toward the engine.
