I spent an enormous amount of time cutting out the middle section of the S-602-1. There must be a good technique. But my lack of good tools I had to make due. First I started a series of holes around the perimeter of the area to be removed. I then used the drill press with a router bit and at high speed I removed material closer to the traced line. Fearing that I might make a mistake and overshoot to the outside of the line, I finished it off with a Dremel cutting tool and about 10 drum sanders of 120 grit I also used various files when needed. I finished off the surface with sandpaper. I prepped and primed the pieces so tomorrow I will hang the prop.
