Completed the bare wood cleanup of the shop and quickly put some stuff out to make it feel right.
Trimmed the left door window to the Vans lines. Spent another hour trimming it to fit, was close on two sides, about 3/16 more off the top and one side. Pealed the protective plastic back from the trimmed edge about 2" and placed masking tape over the glass, in and out. Now I can pull back one or two strips of the 3/4" tape on the inside when it is time to put on the electrical tape for the glue line.
Wanted to see when was the correct time to paint the inside of the cabin top. Was thinking you could paint before windows, but the small fillet of glue that it takes to get the inside fiberglass to blend would have to be touched up, plus any problem with the glue getting on the paint would make a mess. Especially with Zolatone, my current favorite. So, looks like the glass goes in before the paint, then put the cabin top on the AC and deal with the joints along the sides from the inside. Zolatone apparently patches well, so this might be the best way.
Cut out the other three windows for the cabin and doors. This stuff makes as big a mess as sanding fiberglass, plus it takes up static and sticks to everything. Still have a lot of trimming of the three pieces.
