Short Description: Wing Skeleton & Top Skin Priming
|
Kim gave me a hand masking off the main spare & rear spar for priming before running off to her nephew's concert thing. That was a huge help!!!!
- Shot AKZO primer on all 4 top wing skins & wing walk doublers. - Cleaned & primed the flange of the main spar. - Started "spot" priming the inside flange of the main spar & ribs.
One big OOPS though. it appears my #8 tank attachment counter sinks are not deep enough for the tank skin to sit flush. I'll have to go back and adjust these a bit & spot prime them. I originally used a counter-sink diameter measurement rather than a sample. lession learned. Use samples to set counter-sink depths!. I still cannot believe how big the counter sinks end up being for a proper fit.
