Short Description:  Transducer Manifold & Injection Firewall Doubler

I think I understand why subsequent builds go much more quickly than first builds. After the first plane, you know what you want. When I started this years ago, it was to be a day/night VFR, carbureted, fixed pitch, no autopilot plane. It is now fuel injected, constant speed, and has an AP. Time will tell if it will still be VFR when the pink slip is issued. With each change, I have had to undo work I previously completed. When I built the firewall, I put in the doubler for an auxiliary fuel pump. I had to remove that doubler and construct a doubler for the fuel injection supply and return line fittings. Had I done that originally, the doubler could have been much smaller. As it stands, I had to construct a monstrosity of a doubler to cover the holes from the removal of the previous doubler and hold the AN fittings in the correct location. I read in "He Who Shall Not be Named's" build log that he moved the supply line over another .25" to give adequate clearance from the starter contactor. It appeared that if I used the dimensions on the drawing, I would have had adequate clearance, but I figured another quarter inch wouldn't hurt. I need to purchase an AN bulkhead fitting, spacer and nut for the return line. At Oshkosh this year, one of the items I purchased from Cleveland Tool was a rivet fan. Until now, I have just been doing the math. The rivet fan takes the majority of thinking out of the process. Just the kind of thing I want when reworking a previously completed part.
