Bill's Glasair Odyssey
Welcome to my Builder's Log. I have been lusting over Glasair's since they came out in the early 1980s. I found this kit in the hands of its third owner in Wenanchee WA in December of 2006. I short U-Haul drive later, it know rests in my T-Hanger in Mesa AZ. The kit is S/N 290 which means it is a pretty basic kit with lots left to do. The prevous owners have gotten the wing almost ready to close and the horizontal and elevators closed. My plan is to perform numerous updates to get it closer to GII specs. Large Rudder, GII Gull Wing Doors, Third Windows, Hoerner Wing Tips, and Dorsal Fin. Should be fun! The picture of the plane shown here is a stock G1RG that just sold on ebay. I would be pretty happy if mine turned out as nice!
