I am in the process of building one of the best looking bi-planes ever, a Steen Skybolt.
The basic fuselage box, gear legs, and tail feathers were constructed by Steen Aero lab. I received the fuselage shortly after Oshkosh 05 and I began welding non-structural items, like combing attachment strips, mounting plates. I have since sandblasted, preped and painted the fuselage.
My wings are completed except for fuel tank completion. My engine is nearly complete except for the induction set up which will require some magnesium welding for completion.
This is a project with my father and my daughter, and I have learned from both. We all love this project.
